LLI Social

Our social programmes works on the psychological and education needs for orphans and underprivileged children from poor families, concentrating on delivering programmes for building self esteem, reinforcement of humanitarian values, encouraging community services, and vocational training.

Initiation

We work with different ministries within Iraq to identify high-priority child-related social issues needing urgent attention, e.g. orphans, street children, child labour, etc.

Facilitation

We design a programme or project to address the need identified. We then bring together and work with relevant branches of Iraqi central and regional government, other charities and NGOs, and local and international specialists and volunteers to participate in delivering that project.

Project Management

Once a project has been agreed upon we design a project plan for a pilot programme, and identify suitable project partners. Given the interdisciplinary nature of many projects, we take the lead in discussing with other government departments, either at the ministerial or gubernatorial level, to ensure that requisite central and local support is given. We then oversee the implementation of a pilot programme using human, material and logistical resources made available to us by the relevant ministries.

Pilot programmes are evaluated periodically to make adjustments as needed.
